Two people brought together by the trappings of duty and politics will discover they are destined for each other, even as the powers of a hostile kingdom scheme to tear them apart.

My Review 3.5 stars

Brishen and Ildiko are nobody’s they are however part of royal families. There marriages are arranged but quickly discover there lives are already in danger. Quickly they discover people aren’t happy with their marriage they will do everything to stop it, between all this Brishen and Ildiko will learn more about each other.

With this book it is one of them where I really wanted to enjoy it because it sounded amazing but it wasn’t all what you thought it would be. The writing was very simple, predictable and there wasn’t much world building in my opinion. The beginning was a strong start for me as I thought it would be ages until Brishen and Ildiko would actually meet but it wasn’t like that, when they do first meet i actually thought it was sweet and i was thinking this is a good start.

But then nothing really happened in the middle there were a few fight scenes which were enjoyable to read. The romance however wasn’t rushed it wasn’t love at first sight, when they first met they thought each of their kinds were ugly. Brishen and Ildiko didn’t rush anything they got to know each other first became friends then they both realize actually you are a good person how can anyone say differently.

Brishen is the youngest out of his siblings his mother is evil!!! we learn more about Brishen past I feel like then we do with Ildiko, there is one strong side character however.
