One single mom. One chaotic family. One quirky stranger. One irresistible love story from the New York Times bestselling author of Me Before You

Suppose your life sucks. A lot. Your husband has done a vanishing act, your teenage stepson is being bullied and your math whiz daughter has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that you can’t afford to pay for. That’s Jess’s life in a nutshell—until an unexpected knight-in-shining-armor offers to rescue them. Only Jess’s knight turns out to be Geeky Ed, the obnoxious tech millionaire whose vacation home she happens to clean. But Ed has big problems of his own, and driving the dysfunctional family to the Math Olympiad feels like his first unselfish act in ages… maybe ever.

My Review: 4.5 stars

Jess is a mum of to Nicky who likes to wear makeup and play video games and Tanzie who is a maths genius. When Tanzie maths teacher rings up saying that St Anne a private school is offering her a scholarship, while Jess is proud of her daughter all she can think about is how is she going to afford it? Just while Jess is going to say no they are told about a math quiz where the prize is money . This is where Ed comes in he offers them a ride to Scotland but is this because he is running away from his own problems or is it because he see’s a women who needs some help.

This book only took me three days to read I flew past it i loved it that much, this book has so much in it romance, bullying, money problems, marriage issues and a road trip all in one book. There is so much happening that you don’t even realize you have read half the book.

Jess has the attitude like she doesn’t need any help, she can do it all by herself which lets face it she has been. So when Ed offers them a ride she is weary at first, why would he help? what does he want in return? When Jess and Ed first met it wasn’t the best of starts he did shut a door in her face.

It is not just Jess who has issues Ed has got a big one he is being done for fraud before all of this he had a job that he enjoyed, friends. But he got back in touch with a girl from the past and lets just say it didn’t go well, he decided to give her money telling her that this thing his company is doing it can double it. His hope was that she would leave him alone but then he was told he will be facing a fine and a possible prison sentence, also his dad is seriously ill. When Ed suggested to help Jess out he did wonder what he had gotten himself into with a single mum, two kids and a massive dog.

Overall this was a brilliant book one that will defiantly stick with me for a while. If you are looking for comedy, a road trip and a lot of drama then this is the book for you, I will be picking up more of Jojo Moyes books up soon.
