My Review 4 stars
The last book in the Air Awakens series.
Aldrik and Vhalla know one thing that is they love each other and will do anything for their happiness. The fifth is the fight for happiness, survival and their home.
I have so many emotions going into this book I just really wanted to know how it ended as it could have gone many other ways, I wouldn’t read this review if you haven’t already read the other books as there will be spoilers.
Vhalla is a strong, determined character she knows what she wants and that is to be with Aldrik, Vhalla is a fighter in this book she will do anything to save her people and friends. Vhalla has to deal with a lot in this book she has to learn how to be an empress, her magic also she has Victor to deal with. Aldrik only shows his love for Vhalla even more if that is possible he supports her with all the decisions she makes, he is there for her when times got bad.
Like in the last book we got to see more into Fritz’s past, in this book we learn more about Jax I was intrigued about his past and how he became where he is now. He is seen as the funny one the one who is always we learn that the funny side of him is just a mask to hide who he truly is. I really liked Vhalla and his friendship it is tense at first but he makes her see’s sense when Vhalla was about to do something stupid.
Elecia, at first when I first met her I had so many questions who was she? why was she close to Aldrik? Is she up to something? I’m really happy that I liked her in the end i think she is what Vhalla needs a person who will just say how it is but she also has a sensitive side she knows when to listen, to help Vhalla.
At the end I feel like everything was wrapped up well I have no questions left unanswered, we learn what everybody is up to after the war, nobody is left out not even Vhalla friends from the tower. Elise writing isn’t simple but it isn’t complicated either you could be reading for an hour and have half the book read already as you just keep turning the pages that is one of many reason why I loved this book. The fighting scenes were fast and enjoyable to read also.
Overall I would highly recommend this series if you haven’t already picked it up, if you like magic, romance and action then pick it up!
