A woman awoken in air, a soldier forged by fire, a weapon risen from blood.

Vhalla Yarl has made it to the warfront in the North. Forged by blood and fire, she has steeled her heart for the final battle of the Solaris Empire’s conquest. The choices before Vhalla are no longer servitude or freedom, they are servitude or death. The stakes have never been higher as the Emperor maintains his iron grip on her fate, holding everything Vhalla still has left to lose in the balance.

My Review 4 stars

This is book 3 in the Air Awakens series. I wouldn’t read this book if you haven’t already started this series as it will have spoilers in it.

Every single one of these books so far have left me scared but eager at the same time because of the endings I can’t handle it, I’ve got far too much to say about Vhalla and Aldrik.

Vhalla and Aldrik I am rooting for a happy ending when I finish this series, Aldrik….I need to find my self one that is all I can say.  He is so sweet and protective over her he is always making sure she is safe but he can be temperamental at times you don’t know whether he is going to be the Aldrik we love or the one i don’t like. Vhalla has changed Aldrik for the better in the first book he is rude and doesn’t really care what happens to her but now in book three they are inseparable.

Majority of this books is the build up to the battle I enjoyed reading the chapters where everybody is together planning what they are going to do, Vhalla is a big part of the planning everybody wants to hear what she has to say but doing this she is making enemies the Emperor wants her away from Aldrik and Major Schnurr doesn’t agree with anything she says.

Vhalla and Aldrik aren’t just planning the war they are also planning their future together, I wasn’t sure how this book was going to end but I did not expect this. Aldrik traded is happiness so Vhalla could live she got the title but not the Prince, the Emperor wanted Vhalla away from his son he only saw her as the weapon to win the war. Aldrik is now betrothed to another women so Vhalla could be protected. Now Vhalla is free she runs away leaving the one person she loves and her friends.

Overall I really enjoyed this book the romance was slow but also at the same time you are savoring every moment they have together.
