Who knows you well? Your best friend? Your boyfriend or girlfriend? A stranger you meet on a crazy night? No one, really?

Mark and Kate have sat next to each other for an entire year, but have never spoken. For whatever reason, their paths outside of class have never crossed.

That is, until Kate spots Mark miles away from home, out in the city for a wild, unexpected night. Kate is lost, having just run away from a chance to finally meet the girl she has been in love with from afar. Mark, meanwhile, is in love with his best friend Ryan, who may or may not feel the same way.

When Kate and Mark meet up, little do they know how important they will become to each other—and how, in a very short time, they will know each other better than any of the people who are supposed to know them more.

Told in alternating points of view by Nina LaCour and David Levithan, You Know Me Well is a story about navigating the joys and heartaches of first love, one truth at a time

My Review: 3 Stars

They don’t know it yet but Kate and Mark are going to need each other, they are going to be wanting each other. Kate is in love with a girl who she has never met before and Mark is in love with his best friend.

I didn’t know what to expect when I first picked this up I hadn’t really seen anybody talk about it was a complete cover buy, but i am really glad i did it was different i haven’t really read anything like this book before. I was actually really surprised at how much i enjoyed it, i think this is what i needed as i have read a lot of fantasy recently and was in need for something different.

All the characters story’s are different so you are eager to find out how they deal with their situations. You have Kate who is in love with her best friend cousin Kate has never met her though, so when she finally has the chance to meet her she runs away. That is when we meet Mark when Kate runs away she goes to a bar where we find Mark on top of a bar with only his underwear on dancing. They are surprised to see each other there so when they start talking they both figure out they need help to what they want to do. Mark is in love with his best friend Ryan who isn’t actually out yet to his parents or friends, I won’t exaggerate on Mark story as I don’t want to spoil anything for you but i can say is that i love Mark i was sad at times but there was happy moment also. I didn’t really like Ryan i thought he could have done things differently and treated Mark better than he did.

This book shows that people come together and are there for each other which I really enjoyed because you could tell friendship is everything to them. The pace was fast i liked that it was separated in days of the week, overall i think this was a good read it made me think also smile.
